Carr, who died H 'April 2, of this year, died Saturday H at S:30 p. m., from 'the effect of a H paralytic stroke which she Buffered H early Saturday morning:. Death oc- H curred ai the family residence, 2313 H Grant avenue and, was entirely un- B expected. H The deceased was born in Brad H ford, Yorkshire, England, Sept. 26, H 1S45. She was a pioneer of Utah hav- H ing been brought to America by her B parents when four years of age and H thence across the plains in one of tho B first hand-cart companies. Later, the m family returned to St, Louis ana" lived Bj there until Mrs. Carr was 17 years of B age. They then crossed the plains B to Utah for the second time and set- H tied in Ogden. On March 1, 1S63, the H deceased was married to Georgo Carr H and the two lived continuously in B Ogden until death came. Bj Mrs. Carr was at all times a faith- B ful and active member of the Mormon H church, having been particularly active B in relief society circles in the days H of the old Weber stake. She is sur- K vlvcd by the following children: Mrs. BM H. J. Smith, Salt Lake: Thomas H. BMt Carr, Mrs. Emily Russell, George E. B Carr, Ogden; Mrs. Amelia Jackson B and Joseph W. Carr of Salt Lake, B Nineteen grandchildren also survive. B Tbe body was removed to the Larkin BM mortuary and the funeral will be held Hh In the Third ward chapel Tuesday at Bj 2 p. m. The body may be viewed K this evening from 6 p. m. to 9 p. m. B and tomorrow from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m. H at the home 2313 Grant. Interment K will be in the city cemetery. Hl on |
