Peter son and Deputy Sheriff Ulysses Larsen, who investigated the accident. acci-dent. Mr. Thompson was hard of hearing hear-ing and neitner saw nor heard the approaching car and became confused, con-fused, stepping into the path of the car. He suffered a skull fracture frac-ture and both legs were broken. He was taken to the Moroni hospital hos-pital by Dr. S. B. Rigby and Dr. T. B. Dodgson, but died a few minutes min-utes after admission. The body was taken to Mt. Pleasant to await funeral arrangements. arrange-ments. Mr. Thompson was born in Denmark, Den-mark, May 2, 1850, a son of Soren C. and Martha M. Thompson. He came to Utah with his parents in 1862, crossing the plains in Captain Madsen's ox train. He had been a ! resident of Fountain Green since 1875, engaging in farming, sheep 1 and stock raising. His wife, who was Mary M. Jorgensen of Levan, died April 6, 1937. Surviving are two sons, T. C. Thompson Jr., Santaquin; George ; W. Thompson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. A. H. Anderson, Ander-son, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Odvin Rosqulst of Fountain Green; twenty-eight grandchildren and four-ten four-ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services wiU be held Saturday Sat-urday at 1 p. m. in the Fountain Green ward chapel. |
