Show Commercial Club Will Celebrate All the Stores in Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant will be Closed after 2 O'clock P. M., Washington's Wash-ington's Birthday. The Mt. Pleasant Commercial Club has arranged for a program, pro-gram, banquet and dance to be given on the evening of the 22nd at the Opera House in honor of the anniversary of the birth of George Washington. Two distinguished gentlemen, Jay H Stocuman and Fred C. Graham, of Salt Lake City, will come to Mt. ip Pleasant to participate in the celebration cele-bration given by the club. Mr. Graham Gra-ham is the assistant secretary of the Utah Development League and is expected ex-pected to tell what the 1' ague is doing do-ing for the development of the resources re-sources and business opportunities of the state. Mr. Graham is also a musician and will help to entertain the invited guests. The committees in charge have made special effort on their part to give a most interesting and pleasing entertainment and have prepared a program appropriate for the occasion. occas-ion. The merchants of the city have decided to close tneir places of business busi-ness at 2 o'clock p. m., to show due respect of the day. All persons desiring de-siring to make any purchase during the day would do well to bear this in mind and do their shopping during '4 the fore part of the day. |
