Show DIED ROSE In Ftrmington Davis county February 11th 1882 Catherine Nicholson Nichol-son wife of Abraham Roe aged 75 years and 51 days Deceased was born in York State on the 22dof December 1806 was baptized in August 1836 in connection with her huiband into the Church of Jeans Christ of Latterday Saints Came to Nauvoo in 1843 was in the mobbing and exodus from that place came to Council Coun-cil Bluffa Iowa in 1847 and to Salt Lake in 1853 Has lived in Farmington since the fell of 1853 She was the only member of a family of fifteen children i that joined the Church Was the mother I of eight children four sons and four daughters the died as she had lived a faithful Latterday Saint a true and faithful wife a kind and loving mother The funeral took place at thi Farm ington Ward Meeting House beginning at 12 oclock The attendance was very large The funeral address was deliv ered by Elder Job Wellings JBiahoD Bess and others also spoke feelingly of the faithfulness and many noble traits of the deceased The remains were then taken to the cemetery and interred fol lowed by a long procession of wagons and other vehicles COM New York papers peso copy APSOLDIH the Ninleenth Ward this city February 18th of pneumonia Violate daughter of Henry jr and Violate Arnold Aged 1 year 6 monLbs and H days McDoNALDAt the residence ot her soninlaw 11r John Jfaycock yule Utah Spring February 16th 1882 Ann Thomson Leslie McDonald relict of o the late Duncan McDonald of St George Mother Ann was born in Arbroath Scotland July 14th 1805 she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in October 1849 and emigrated with three of her children the same year and in her liberality bringing friends with her She was the first saint to leave her native town for Utah and will be kindly remembered by many on account of her unswerving faith in her religion She died as she lived lull Of good works and faith the gospel of Jesus and in the hope I of a glorious resurrection Con |
