Show OBSEQUIES HELD FOR PIONEER BUILDER Funeral services for William Kirkham, Pioneer builder and contractor, were neM at the O'DonnoIl chapel yesterday. The Rev. P. A. Simpkin preached trie funeral sermon. James Terry, Jr., S. N. Randolph, F. Losse. Walter McDonald, Harris Brimhall, Stanley Patterson, J. B. Funk, R. T. Ma us nan and Aaron Davis acted as pallbearers. Brief services a the KTave were held under the auspices of Rocky Mountain lodge No. 3, Kniphts of Pythias, of which Mr. Kirkham had been a member for the Kst thirty-seven years. Many beautiful floral offerings were made. Mr. Kirkham came to Salt Iake from Preston, England, in 1S04, driving an ox team from Omaha. Many public build-incs. build-incs. including St. Mary's academy, Holy Cross hospital. All Hallows college, the ,nld barracks at Fort Douslas and the Oquirrh school, were constructed by Mr.-Kirkham. |
