Show Heber Pioneer I Dies Die S After Stroke HEBER May 17 17 William William Lindsay pioneer of ot Heber City died at the home of or his daughter Mrs James Fisher Saturday after an illness of ot rive five ve months following a stroke Mr Lindsay was born in Scotland February 14 H 1847 and came to America with his mother and family in September 1862 The family came directly to Heber where he had resided resided re re- re sided continuously ever since He married Mary Mair December 15 1868 and to this union were born eleven children seven of ot whom sur sur- sur vive His wife died sixteen years ears ago age In September 1918 he married Sarah M t In 1905 he filled a mission in Great Britain and also visited the land of or his birth He lIe was a Black Hawk war veteran He was superintendent of ol the Heber East ward Sunday school for seven years ears a t member o of the Wasatch stake high council for many years ears and president president dent of or the high priests' priests quorum until until un til about three years ago ao He is survived by his wife wile and the following children Mary M. M Fisher William H. H James L. L and Andrew A. A Lindsay Crissie L L. Duke and Annie L. L Clyde all of ot Heber CIt City and John A. A Lindsay of or Park Cit City and by the following brothers and sisters James and Andrew Lindsay and Isabell L L. Smith of ol Heber and Jean Sheppard of Salt Lake two half John and George Mair of ot Heber He has 49 grandchildren and 55 great grand children Two grandchildren are now in the mission field Kenneth L. L Duke in the California mission and Bertha Lindsay in the Mexican Funeral services services ser vices were held in the Wasatch stake tabernacle Tuesday at 2 p p. p m m. m under the direction of oC Bishop Joseph of the Heber First ward Interment was in the Heber cemetery |
