Show Thompson Mews By VIRGINIA GliUVEIt We had quite a lot of traffic in Thompson Thursday and Friday. The line to the acid plant broke clown and they were trying to fix it and of course they had to use water wa-ter and the water line broke when they got; it fixed the acid line broke again and the water line. So they are loading the acid tanlcs out of the cars and it takes quite a while, as there were around 17 truckers in here at one time. Ted Wolvcrton and nephew Butch Wolverton of Sierra Vista, Arizona, were in town for their uncle Ted's funeral which will be held in Paonia, Colo. Ted is a brother of Norville Wolvcrton and Butch is Norville's oldest son. While in Thompson they are slaying with the Norville Wolvertons. Aubrey Maynard of Cisco Cis-co was a brief visitor in Thompson enroute home from a trip to Moab. Mond'.y July 20th, Janice Jan-ice and Chuck Rossiter had their new trailer home delivered in Crescent Junction. Their new home is a 12 x G5, 2 bedroom. Their second bedroom is for the new addition due in January. Congratulations Congratula-tions Chuck and Janice. Thursday there was a break down at the Kenne-cott Kenne-cott Copper Acid plant here in Thompson. 2 acid lines and one water line broke. The water ran into in-to the electric conduit and shorted out the electricity. Bob Fine and his electrician electri-cian were on hand at the time as they were checking check-ing some other thing out. LeGrand Prichard, ona of the truck drivers out' of Moab was also on hand and the three men worked work-ed side by side with Jess Jeffries (plant manager) and Mac Butler to get things under control. Good work boys. Jess and Mac are having to load the trucks out of the rail road cars until things are put back together. Due to the break down, Mr. Earl Butler of Kennecott Copper Cop-per came down from Salt Lake City to see what eou-id be clone and help with the operation.
