Goss, manager of the Or-phcum Or-phcum theater; received a telegram today from tho head office of the Or-pheum Or-pheum circuit, informing him that the season at Ogden will close on Saturday, Satur-day, .May 1. The Orpheum at Salt Luke will close the following week , When the local house closes Mr. boss will go to Salt Lake to devote his entire attention to tho management manage-ment of the now $100,000 Rex theater, a combination vaudeville and motion picture house which carries two ae,t? of junior vaudeville and five reels or flifit-ieleasfe moving pictures In three programs daily. Tho room is equipped with cribs for children, and a nurse is In 1 attendance at all times. Each Monday Mon-day night a 20-plece band plays a concert on the stnge and In addition tho program carries two solos upon tho new $20,000 pipe organ that was recently Installed in tbe theater. At the present time Mr. Goss is managing the Hex In connection with the Orpheum and will continue to do so until the end of tho Orpheum season sea-son at this place. .Mr Gpb3 has been witb tho Orpheum pcopfc for seven years. He began as electrician at Salt Lake, later becoming stage ipan-ager ipan-ager at that place and then stage manager here. About four jears ago he took the business management of tho local house, and since that time be has guided its destinies with remarkable re-markable success Mr. and Mrs. Goss will remove from Ogdon to Salt Lake In the very near future. on |
