Show April Fools. Many Halt Lakers had occasion yesterday to praiso an All-wise Providence Pro-vidence who had bo regulated tho seasons, sea-sons, and almanac makers who had so arranged tho days, that it is impossible impos-sible for "All Fool's day" to come oltencr than once a year. At early morn the "fooling" commenced, and by the time the sun sunk behind the mountains in the west there were few in the city who had not been mado the bult of at least one good joko. The "lool" element was alivo on East Templo street, and every few minutes the vicinity would resound with laughter as Borne very wise, sedate-looking individual would walk down the sidewalk with a cardboard card-board pinned to his back on which wis written "1 am a fool," or other as important information. Pocket books and pieces of coin wero lying about the walks in every direction.hu they invariably disappeared as the finder reached for them. Parcels, neatly tied, were picked up, but immediately im-mediately dropped again when the "fooled" remembered that it was April 1st. A "stove pipe" hat, with a brick in it, received numerous sharp kicks, and every trick that could "fool" any one was resorted to. |
